Murad Annamamedov was born in 1955 in Moscow. He was educated in Moscow State Conservatoire named after Tchaikovsky, in Professor G.Rozhdestvensky's class.
He took his place at the conductor's stand at 19, and being a second-year student made his debut in public performing together with Turkmenistan Symphonic Orchestra. In 1980 he became the artistic director and the chief conductor of the afore-mentioned orchestra.
The years 1984-85 were spent on tour. Among the cities he visited was Saratov, where the orchestra was expecting for a new director to come. Thus, in May, 1985, Murad Annamamedov became the head of Saratov Symphonic Orchestra.
The vigorous but a bit unstable staff found itself working under rather intensive and stern conditions. Due to Murad Annamamedov's great capacity for work the orchestra took “the breath” in a few years and achieved undoubted naturalness in making music. In its repertoire appeared many programs which could be heard in Saratov for the first time: the monographic cycles “Musorgsky”, “Rakhmaninov”, “Brahms”, “Shuman”; the cycle “A Travel Without Visas”, programs “Spanish Tunes”, “Master and Margarita”, “In Broadway”, etc., as well as modern musical compositions: A. Onegger's 3rd and 5th Symphonies, P.Hindermith's “The Harmony of Peace”, O.Messian's symphony “Turangagila”, compositions by G.Minchev, A.Terterian, E.Sigmeister, A.Copelend. The increasing level of mastery of Saratov Orchestra turned Saratov into a city of festivals. Under Murad Annamamedov's guidance took place the International Festival of American Music in the USSR “Making Music Together”, the Musical Festival of FRG in the USSR, The Days of Austrian Culture in Russia, The International Festival of Young Composers, Russian musical academy “Russian Wanderers”, the G.Neigause Festival, etc. In 1994 Murad Annamamedov received a lot of invitations to head the orchestras of Moscow, Ekaterinburgh, Yaroslavl... The conductor accepted the latter, together with the task to reform the concert life of both the city and the region. Murad Annamamedov offered a whole system of activities taking into account the social circumstances of the region. On the conductor's initiative in Yaroslavl, which had never been an opera city, were staged the performances of ballet (Tchaikovsky's “Nutcracker”) and opera compositions (Mozart's “The Marriage of Figaro”, Rossini's “The Barber of Seville”, Verdi's “Traviata”, Bizet's “Carmen”, Puccini's “Tosca” and “Chio-Chio-San”, Borodin's “Prince Igor”, Tcaikovsky's “The Queen of Spades”, “Eugene Onegin”, “Iolanta”, Rakhmaninov's “Aleco”...). Among Murad Annamamedov's monographical

programs are all the symphonic compositions by S.Rakhmaninov, A.Terterian, four programs of V.Artemov's symphonic and chamber music, etc.
    Within the circle of musical performers, Murad Annamamedov is considered an excellent accompanist.Among the soloists who worked with him are N.Petrov, L.Vlasenko, V.Krainev, E.Virsaladze, A.Nasedkin,V.Picaizen, I.Oistrakh, L.Isakadze, G.Gislin, D.Cogan, D.Shafran, N.Shakhovskaya, I.Arkhipova, G.Gorchakova, A.Vedernikov, Y.Mazurok, Z.Sotkilava, V.Piavko, A.Abdrazakov and many others.

Murad Annamamedov's today's background is 30 years of working as a conductor, 25 of which he has been the artistic director and the chief conductor of the orchestra. He is in perfect form. Possessing the qualities of a prominent conductor – the magnificent technique of conducting, the ability to use reasonably the time intended for repetitions, an enviable musicality and undoubted artistic charm – Murad Annamamedov is a welcome guest in any orchestra.
Outstanding modern musicians gave him excellent recommendations.
G.Rozdestvensky: Murad studied in my class in the Moscow Conservatoire and displayed extraordinary abilities of a conductor. His manner of conducting can be characterized by bright temperament combined with keen sense of form and ability to grip the essence of the composition very quickly.
V.Zaderatsky:Murad Annamamedov's experience of conducting runs to 20 years and it has formed his enormous musical erudition which made him famous as a conductor with unique possibilities. He is extraordinarily eloquent in gesture, elegant and “chaironomically” expressive. And it always resounds the expressions of musical modulations.
J.Lewis, USA: Gershwin's “Porgy and Bess” is the music of the black. Murad Annamamedov is capable of playing American music like a very truly black musician.
A.Terterian, Armenia: I bow down to the outstanding conductor Murad Annamamedov for the excellent presentation of my 4th and 5th Symphonies.
V.Artyomov: Several times I was fortunate enough to collaborate together with Annamamedov and each time I felt great joy when watching him at work. In my opinion Annamamedov is a highly experienced, a talented and an erudite one, with whom it is interesting to work and who enjoys the love of musicians.
A.Eshpay: Maestro Annamamedov's talent of a conductor and an artist is doomed to enjoy world-wide success!
